Does anyone have a reloading system that is portable enough to take it to the range...? I live a few miles from the range... and would like to have some kind of setup that could go with me... good any ideas...?

I do. My main press is a CH-Champion, a 30 pound brick. I have a CH 4 station "H" press for loading at the range . The nice thing is that both presses have the exact same distance between the shell holder and die plate - so I don't have to change the die adjustment.

With that "H" press, I use a Lyman digital scale, and a RCBS powder measure. I put it all in a wooden box and it is always ready to go.

You will need something to deal with the wind for your scale. A small wooden box with a plexiglass front that raises.

I built a small stand that comes apart for the press.

My scale came with a plexiglass cover so I can weigh in the wind - even has a little hole over the pan to add powder while the cover is on.

When I get it all out for the warm weather, I will take pics

Dan, years ago, I had a pickup truck with a slightly oversize shell on the back. I built a locker with drawers that held guns in the front, and on the sides there was a 14" shelf that I could attach my press on, and put my RCBS 10-10 scale on.

I had all my brass ready to load when I got to the range, so all I had to do is powder the cases and seat bullets. Neck sizing was easy to accomplish with the press.

One thing for sure, you sure can work up a load easy and verify.

Currently, neighbor and I built our own 400 yd range, then built a shed with AC and heating, loading and shooting benchs inside, we shoot rain or shine.

I like the LeeLoader for portability. You can weigh out a charge at home using a dipper. This charge could cover anything from 123gr to 180gr bullet.I can shoot all day long with just a few cases as seen in the image. The real time testing of several powders, bullets, primers,OAL is easily accomplished with the tool. With practice at home with the dipper and scale a good load is easy to replicate. If one feels like it he can use one case all day...literally.Ten shot group @50yds with Finnish M39 Mosin in pic. With a good rifle one can amaze himself with the tool.Maybe not a tool for a beginner but with some imagination and planning it can make for an excellent range day.

I have a GemPro 250 and that thing is pricesless. It comes with a cover you can flip over your charge to keep wind out, Ive tried mine even on windy days and its accurate with 20g, 10g and 1g check weights even without the cover on. For its precision its unbelievable really. Its not that much money for what you get $160ish but it resolution is .02 of a grain when most reloading scales are .2. Lifetime waranty also..... I cant say enough about mine.

Oh it also runs on batteries or plug in, makes things easy.
