You might get some negative reactions to a funny noise like a scream or baby crying or another distress sound thats misheard, OR even have a sighting of some wierdo dressed in camo running around in the woods.
I think I would go to the local PD dept. and have a talk with them. Explain that your a wildlife photographer, even print up a few cards on your computer to "prove" your a photographer and see what they say about it. I think if your upfront and let them know your a nature lover trying to capture pictures with no intent on harming them, you may get a free pass on doing it.
