Quite a few years ago a guy and I were way out in the country night calling. It started to rain so we pulled over and were drinking coffee waiting it out when a sheriff's car pulled up behind us and approached us with his hand on his gun. He went to the driver's window and asked us what we were about. We told him and when he saw the two bobcats we had in the back he relaxed. He said some woman had heard us calling and called in to say that a woman was being raped. She could hear the screaming.The cops probably don't care if you do the calling but may get upset if the phone starts ringing and they have to drop their Krispy Kremes to go see what it's about.
