Possible Cougar Sighting in NY

Looks like another possible mountion lion sighting here in upstate New York . I have been hearing more and more of this from locals all the time. This was on the front page of our local paper today. It will be interesting to see how this one pans out. Here is the link to the article.

If you look at the image enlarged it looks disproportioned. If this was authentic then where's the image of it's tracks where this cat was? Odd how the story walks around harder evidence.

Where the cat was photographed has been having a severe drought. You might find tracks in dust but the ground is rock hard.

of all the ole time trappers in the state you never hear of them saying they saw large cat tracks, back in the 1700's there were many cats here, but I don't think they are here anymore and if so probally are ones that were in captive and have wandered off.
