Predator Camo

I am looking at possibly ordering a new Hunting Camo jacket and have been considering purchasing a jacket from this website: http://www.predatorcamo.com/

I would like to know if anyone here has any products from this company? If so are you happy with your purchase (camo pattern, build quality etc..)?

I am specifically looking at the Predator Deception Brown/Green patterns. In my area I hunt in desert type scrub-brush areas to rolling foothills with oaks + sagebrush.

Also interested in general opinions if you have one regarding the camo patterns of this company or any other opinion you may have regarding hunting clothing.

Thanks for taking the time to read/comment!

Thanks for the responses, still looking for more comments from those that have the camo or know someone that does.

Troy I will have to check out archerytalk thanks!

I love the pattern but hate the quality the last outfit i bought seemed very low quality.
I have started switching over to sitka gear.

checkout "m2d.com"....sorry i can't link ya....i love this stuff....adapts to just about all surroundings 'cept snow....i hunt in barren desert, mesquite & brush,junipers/cedars, and grasslands...predator xtreme mag had an article last year with it involved...but it all boils down to ur movement/scent.

I absolutely love Predator camo. I've got a full suite of the Predator Fleece in Fall Gray, their fleece vest in Deception, and I also have 2x seperate outfits custom tailored for me by Jeff over at Gray Wolf Woolens, both Wolfskin, one in Spring Green, and one in Fall Brown.

I strongly feel that while it doesn't look at "cool" as Deception, the Fall Brown/Gray and Spring Green are better patterns. Deception simply doesn't have the contrast that the other patterns do. Deception was designed to be more attractive to the eye, and to increase market share.......not to fool critters.

Unless your looking at the fleece products on their website, the actual clothing on the www.predator.com website are mediocre at best. Patterns are great, but I don't feel they are using top notch materials that will last a lifetime. You can get the same high quality patterns on a MUCH better material (Wolfskin) that is dang near water/bullet proof, won't pick up burrs, won't color fade, and is as quiet as fleece. You pay a premium for Gray Wolf Woolens, but it will fit like a glove, and you will have it for years. I've got 3x seasons on my Fall Brown and Spring Green outfits, and they look new. I've also got literally 30+ washings on them (I'm a bit nutty about washing my bowhunting clothes) and they colors simply don't fade........they look new.

Just my thoughts......we spend a lot of $$$ on other gear but so many people won't spend the $$$ to buy an outfit that will last a lifetime, be more comfortable, and keep you in the woods longer. In my opinion, it's one of the best investments I've made in hunting gear.

I have a pair of Insulated overalls and a jacket that i have had since 99 or 2000 and they have been used a bunch and i have called a ton of coyotes while wearing them, there are some patches but there still goin strong. The newer clothes may not stand up as well,i dont know but i am happy with what i have. As far as thr pattern mine is Fall Brown/Gray, i hunt desert country mostly and this pattern works great!!

Ditto on what this guy said. Way back in 1989 I sent away for a one-piece Predator coverall from the guy who invented the pattern and was the only one selling it at the time. I paid top dollar for it and was disappointed with the quality of the garment when I opened the package. That very day I wrote a letter to the guy and he didn't take my constructive criticism very well.
The pattern is one of the best out there, and if they would just put it on quality garments, we'd really have something.

That maybe me lol, i'm a sponsor over there (on AT) and soon will be here also. I got alot of great items for you guys including Predator, ASAT and Sitka's camo lines that i think i can save all you members a few bucks on! Anyway, predator's camo in the polyester lines is great stuff, and their fleece is very nice for the price. If you wanted Sitka's garments build quality the $89.95 fleece jacket from predator would end up being $189.95, so i think they are trying to keep it affordable and after seeing how much Sitka i sell vs. Predator i can see why they took that route. Predators camo patterns are among the best but the garments they put it on are of a more economical line to keep them affordable for the average guy. I think any of predators patterns except for the Evolution would work excellent in most areas.

I wear a Predator coat that my dad used when I was about eleven. I'm twenty six now and it just got it's first tear in the elbow this year.
