I am looking to get an e-caller and i ran across the madd dog at walmart for 150.00$. If you have any experience with this call, should i get it or is it no good?
I have an alpha dogg, and its great with good batteries. One of my hunting partners has the turbo dogg. Also great, but not as many sounds. Youtube "primos turbo dogg" and the first couple videos should give you a decision
have the power dog for 3 years paid 80.00 for it brings in dogs no problem, don't spend more than 150.00 on any e-caller go to foxpro.com classifieds you will find pages of guys wanting to get rid of there 600.00 callers
I like my Turbo Dogg so far. Called in 1 yote to date with it, but I couldn't get a decent shot off in the woods because he got downwind of my scent trail & took off like a rocket. I loaded some of Tony's sounds in it, plus some others. The remote's distance is decent, too. An ok unit for the price.
Just thought I would reply to prkrgrp's remark. It is only fair to note that a majority of people selling their units are doing so to upgrade to another unit of ours. Happens every time we release a new caller.
Mike that is a fact along with people that buy calls and learn it aint as easy as it looks on tv. Calling coyotes is location and setup. It helps to have a good call to put the icing on the cake. With ecalls you get what you pay for. Foxpro is the best no doubt. Ive had several other brands and they dont even compare to the FP. Buy once cry once. and customer service is excellent
I have the Turbo Dogg and the distance on the remote is not good at all. I basically have to put it within 30-50 feet of me to get it to work consistently. I have been disappointed by it. I am looking for another call.
Good question. I don't have a Foxpro YET, but I will have one soon. I have narrowed my choice down to the Firestorm or the Fury II for the best combination of features for the price. I'm leaning toward the Fury II for the Foxcast feature. Another thing I will add when I purchase is the Foxjack decoy. Hope this helps.
Love my turbo dog, sounds are ok,I use a audacity program to modify and make my own sounds. Remote is ok but as stated not great on range, make sure it's off the ground in clear view. Battery life is good but when battery's get low I notice distortion. have called several with it so far.
