Problem with Ace Skeleton Stock...HELP

I can't get he stock to mate up. What am I doing wrong?

I put one on one of mine, and IIRC the instructions said to use the buttplate screw to finish seating the stock, as it is very tight on the end of the buffer tube. Could that be your problem?

I tighten that sucker to the point of almost stripping.

Wow, it's really been a long time since I installed mine. Will this picture help you out any?

Mine slid right together once I had that foam fought over the tube, though.

No extension, I am trying to put it an Armalite lower. I would not think that made a difference.

it shouldn't.. what brand buffer tube is it? How long is it? I mounted 2 of these stocks on DPMS buffer tubes and they worked fine.

You've got your buffer tube screwed in far enough to ride over the detent and keep it trapped in place, correct?

Or did you even remove the buffer tube?

You sure these are both commercial or both Milspec parts?

i had to try 3 btubes before i found one and had to pull it a little with the screw, my second one slide on perfect.

That was it, changed tube and it slip right over with little effort.
