Funny,Funny thread.... SPICE, usually followed by "girls".I belong to several hunting message boards, and it's not really amazing to me that there are so many "experts" out there in all different hunting fraternities. What I do find just a little amazing is how quick some of these folks manage to have developed their "expertise".Heck,I've devoted 35 yrs to small game hunting,30 yrs to big game hunting, flyfishing & taxidermy,25 yrs to predator & bowhunting, and still have a lot to learn about all of them.If only I had had the internet back then,I could have learned it all in 5 years.Granted, the net boards do help shorten the learning curve to some degree,at least for the folks that pickup little tidbits of info and actually try them out in the field,on the other hand,if I had a buff horn howler for everytime I've read a post on another board, that was almost a "copy and paste" from a dvd or different message board,I could retire and live off e-bay,lol.Example,some of here in the northeast learned long ago, that while some of the info presented in videos filmed in the "west" is usable, and certainly entertaining,if I spend all my time calling to the open fields in the middle of the day whilst the snow is gonad deep,I'm not gonna shoot many 'yotes, coyotes, coyoteees, brush wolves, song dogs or $h#teaters."A rose by any other name"... would still smell like a dirty, stinking, flea infested dog.Admiration for the canines abilities? Absolutely! Respect? He11 no, I save that for my human companions.
As a side note: Desert Dog, you called that exactly right with H.D. Up here we call them "RUBS" or rubbies... Rich Urban Bikers.Like the sign says, 15 grand and 15 miles, don't make a guy a biker /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
