Pulsar Stream Vision and iPhone

I’m not sure if it was here or somewhere else, but is everyone having trouble with the Stream Vision app while using an iphone?

Once the clip is on the app, it won’t play back more than the first second or two.

You can read tons of posts on various websites and pages about the issues with iPhones and StreamVision. I haven't seen an issue with it not playing the video back, once it is downloaded but my guess is the video isn't 100% downloaded and thus the issue.

StreamVision and iphones are notorious for having issues. The main issue is connection. The second issue is Pulsar for some strange reason chose the .avi format for their video format. Apple products don't work well with .avi files. In addition, the sound from your videos will not play natively in StreamVision on an iPhone.

For connection issues, many people claim if you Turn off locating option under Privacy in settings and turn off cellular data then open app, it helps. It seems to help some but I still have issues. Virtually no issues on Android.

For sound issues, you have to use a different app for sound. I have used iConv in the past but don't currently use an apple product with StreamVision any longer, so not sure.

If you plan to use StreamVision a lot, do yourself a favor and pick up an Android device of some kind. It will cause you a lot less frustration.

Appreciate you taking the time to explain that. That helps a lot.

If you are uploading photos from watsap, you need to change your settings. Your phone uploads the photos and you manually make copies. If not, you better check your phone for viruses. You can read here to solve your problem. And the most common cause is HDR (High Dynamic Range). It is this option that is responsible for giving you two identical pictures after you take them. Although if you look closely, you can see that they are not exactly the same and are slightly different - they should be. That's because one photo is the original and the other is a photo enhanced with HDR. You don't even need to open the iOS settings to turn the feature on and off - just launch the camera and tap the HDR icon.

Been trying to get mine to work for about 5 years on an Android. This is with half a dozen different scopes.

I had chalked it up to another Pulsar fail but am going to try the tricks mentioned again. Glad the conversation got resurected!

P&Y and Pulsar are definitely oil and water, ha. I'm not sure why so many issues, but I've been very happy with Pulsar, their customer service, and stream vision.

I've had a couple issues with their products over the years, but they were remedied quickly and professionally. Stream vision has worked for me 90-95% of the time. I hope my experience with Pulsar continues as mentioned above.

There are respectable companies out there producing great thermals, and it's nice that customers have several good options.

True Indy and I'm glad some have positive experiences with them. When I can afford to get away from my last Pulsar (my scanner) I will be cancer I mean Pulsar free! Lol I am thankful for all the advice given here. Really hoping one of the tricks work. We have some great footage from last winter recorded. One epic miss in particular (courtesy of yours truly) that my friend and I are still laughing about. I'd enjoy re-watching and sharing, especially with audio!

Didn't even realize there was a new one thanks!

Maybe those photos are what you previously synced with iTunes so you cannot delete them from your iPhone. To delete those duplicate photos, you have to sync photos with iTunes once again and deselect the synced albums in iTunes. Or you can just enable iCloud photos on your iPhone. Finding duplicate photos or any files from Apple computer/iPhone and then completely deleting them is very important because if you don't do it, they will just stack on your Mac/iPhone and make your devices work slowly.
