I am thinking about selling my XQ50 Trail and getting a XP. It's only 3 mo old and still under warranty. Is there a process that needs to take place to transfer warranty or is it based off of the date the unit was registered?
When I called sellmark they told me that the warranty is transferable as long as you have the original receipt to give to the new owner and the new owner must call and change the registration address and name to the new owner name. They told me that the new owner must act like they are the original purchaser. They are aware of the fact that this is not really kosher but according to the guy I talked to they were allowing it. And yes the 3-year warranty starts from the date that it was originally purchased on the receipt.
