We've attempted front mount designs in the past but the performance (image quality and distance) is pretty bad compared to the rear mount and there is a noticeable POA shift which defeats the intent of having a multi-purpose rifle to hunt day or night.  So our designs are all rear mounted and will likely stay that way in the future.  Kevin
