The pvs-14 behind a good day scope is just fine. It is effective way beyond 100 yards. I shoot coyotes 180 yards & beyond, & have not even come close to maxing it out. Kevin shoots a.220 swift, & I shoot a 22-250 with no problem. In fact Kevin told me he still shoots the one he started with. You don't need a magnifier lens with a day scope.
