I've eaten crow before, but never the kind with black feathers. I can't imagine the real thing being much better tasting.

I shot four last Saturday and left them piled beside a stump. Don't know what eats them, but not even a feather could be found a couple days later.

In California they are considered a "Game Animal" There is a season and a bag limit (24 a day) It is against the law to shoot them with rifles (shotguns only) and it is against the law to leave them lay. You must pick them up and then if you want you can go straight to a trash can if you like.

If I had to guess I would think they would be OK to eat.
"4 and 20 Black birds baked in a pie" and all that. After all "Meat is meat". (Some is better than others though)

Given the fact that they'll eat just about anything I'll pass. I shoot them for some of the local farmers. I gather them up and dispose of them vs leaving them where they fall out of respect for the folks that allow me access to their property. The turkey vultures around here seem to like em and once they get good and rotten the foxes like to roll in them.
If I had to choose I think I'd rather eat the turkey vulture.

Lets not forget that a crow dont eat anything a bear wont eat,how many on here have eatin a lot of bear?(including me)That said if I was going to,I would wait till winter and just breast them. Jerry Tomlinson has a video of them cooking them up this way. I have two friends that zapp a bunch of deer during the seasons,so I feast on the best venison during the year,so crow is way down on my list!!

I cant imagine a crow being much worse than a chicken as far as what it will eat. Dnt know how many times I have seen chickens pecking on dead rotten things at my moms place, not to mention seeing them poop and then turn around and eat it.
