Question for the shotgunners?

Ok so I just picked up a maverick 88 28 inch just because it was cheap. It came with a mod choke so I decided to get some copperplated 4 buck and pattern it with the mod choke and a Carlson 680 turkey choke that I had laying around I paterened both of them and wasn't too impressed with it they both were basically shooting the same pattern and I don't understand this I wouldn't shoot a dog past 35 yards with either so my question is should I be looking to go tighter construction or more open

Tighter if you want to close your spreed up some. I use the same shotty with 00 Buck and had good luck with it. Some much more fun with a shotgun over a rifle.

Carlson dead coyote mobile choke is good for me out a beretta. not sure about the bore of a maveric but on a beretta mobile the exit is .665

Pick up a box of federal 3" LEAD BB. You probably have to buy it online. Or i think it is federal makes a predator load with HD pellets in BB. You get way more pellets to work with and still enough energy to kill coyote. BB is very popular on this site.

With dead coyote choke and BB size shot my beretta 3901 delivered a 60 yard max range on the pattern board. that is 5 pellets in 8 inch circle.

So I called Carlson and they said the dead coyote choke for my gun was a 665 does anybody think this is to tight and what would be the difference and getting a cheaper .665 in a turkey choke

I'd look into a KICK'S GT if you are going to spend that type of money,I traded my Dead Coyote choke off for one a few years ago and haven't looked back.
