I had a 6.5-284, on my 3rd barrel, I went back to 284win - actually a Shehane with a used reamer and dies, but I'm not sure how much difference there is between it and the original spec. Very fun, almost boring long range cartridge.
I'm looking at another one to go with it, hoping for a 14".
