quick release vs standard rings?

Trying to decide on leupold quick release rings or burris z rings for my new marlin lever action. would you spend the extra $30 for leupold quick release rings and why?

Do you ever intend to use open sights with any regularity?

I would stick with the standard rings. You can still remove them and they will go back to zero or very close.

The only Leupold QR's I have are on a Marlin X7 which is used
for switch barrel operations. I like them fine for that.

If you're going to use both open sights and scope, they would
be great for that.

Otherwise, what Dogface said.

They QR are only justified if you're going to be taking the scope off an on regularly. I really like burris signature rings though, but like Warne vertical split the best. However, on your application of a lever gun, the Burris rings would "fit" better aesthetically.

I have a DNZ Game Reaper one-piece mount on my Marlin 336 with a Burris Tac30 1-4x and I love it. Simple design and looks good on a lever action.

I use QR rings because it allows removal for going in the safe if needed. Scoped rifles hog the space of 2 to 3 rifles, for the extra $30 I like having that option. I have found they lock back on at zero very well. Personally I prefer the Warne QR rings, I feel they are a more stable ring than the Leupold rings I have.
