anyone ever shoot one for groups I picked one up on the cheap a couple of weeks ago, goin to put it on a New Frontier polymer lower from Joebob. Just wondering if anyone has any input on them.

Buddy ordered one but was waiting on his lower from Joe bob's but got mad for it taking so long to process his order. So this Saturday he will be buying a RRA lower this weekend.

They have good prices and quick turn around (5 days with the weekend on my buddy's). Way quicker then some of the other custom makers.

As far as I know R-guns uppers are rebranded m1s. Mine shoots, but it's a 5.45x39, so I am not worried about it

How long exactly did he actually wait before he got upset? It says on the site that it's taking 5-10 days to process the orders on the NFA lowers. Also, considering the panic buying that's going on right now, extended wait times are going to be the norm.

Anyone that is filling orders on uppers/lowers with normal delivery times is only doing so because their stock hasn't yet been depleted. Once this occurs, they'll be like everyone else, waiting on the manufacters.

The New Frontier lowers are currently taking approx 10 business days to ship. New Frontier was doing some assembly line upgrades to triple capacity causing about a weeks delay on our "normal" timeline of incoming batches of lowers.

No offense, but your friend can't always have his cake and eat it too. It's a $100 COMPLETE lower (including shipping) at the beginning of an election year, with a brand new product just hitting market. RRA, YHM, Spike's, and 99% of other companies are taking 8-16 weeks to fulfill most of our orders. 10 days, really isn't all that long with all things considering, and it is properly marked on our website. We have 1200 lowers on order or inbound at this time.

We don't take payment until orders are ready to ship, which is fair to customers. We could raise the price to hedge demand, but that wouldn't sit well with most customers either. All standard forged lowers on the market are generally twice as expensive.

Normally orders would ship out same or next day if in stock. Once we get caught up on orders they'll resume shipping within a few business days. We've added 100hrs of manpower per week over the last 30 days or so to help accommodate growth and to ensure customer service and shipping timelines stay as quick as they normally have been prior to the New Frontier Lowers selling like crazy.

Thanks JoeBob. I've made 2 orders with you recently and as long as you have what I need I'll continue to buy from you. Good prices and free shipping are hard to beat.

It's appreciated.

I going to try to bring this back on topic. Dust I'm glad that your russian barrel shoots, and thank you for answering my question, but does anyone have any experience with one in .223. Thanks for any responses.

Hey don't hate on me I love Joe Bob's and I'm the one that sent there because I have ALWAYS been satisfied with his service! I told him to wait it out but that's his deal not mine. I understand the lowers/firearms take more time as there is more paperwork. Was not meaning to bash Joe Bob's in any way as he is one of few pm sponsors that I have 110% customer satisfaction with.

I was just telling the way it is. And I myself will be ordering at least two lowers from Joseph and will continue to do business with him.

And Joseph please keep doing what you are doing because we all know that you can't satisfied everyone! And you know you have strong support group here! Thank you for your service to this forum and more importantly to our country!

Now back to the thread at hand I will give a range report as soon as he shoots his upper.

I had one in .223 and killed a bunch of coyotes with it.
Out of the box, I had to rework the gas key. It had a burr on the bottom, was loose, and wasn't properly staked. The loss of gas made it short stroke intermittently. I sorted out that issue and it ran just fine afterwards.

I will say that, while the shipping took a while due to demand, it was well packaged and survived the trip to my doorstep. There was no feedback from them after I placed my order, though. The guys at R-Guns don't enjoy a reputation for having a sweet disposition and they lived up to that when I called the store.
There was no backorder notice and no tracking info sent after the order. I called to see what was up and got a simple"it's on its way" with no elaboration.
Overall, had I known what to expect up front with regard to the shipping issue, I would've been totally happy buying from them. The price was good and the upper was a shooter.
