I have seen a rabbit decoy that looks so real and it moves but I cant seem to find it again. Where can I find a good natrual looking moving decoy(not the rigor rabbit)
thanks////chris

Chris, Now that you mention it, I remmeber seeing one as well, I just couldn't recall where I had seen it. I thought it might be VHA and sure enough it was. I'm not sure it this is the one that your refering to but I hope this helps.

Very realistic looking, but I really don't like a decoy that forces me to pull a string to make it move like that one does. I want to concentrate on looking for incoming predators and keep my hands still. I wonder if it could be rigged up so a small motor with some type of attachment to pull the string could do the pulling???

I agree Silverfox, the string would have to go. I'm sure someone creative could maybe place a remote servo somehow in it. It's a unique idea though. I just posted it because maybe this is what he was after. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Chris I seen one of these used first hand at the PM hunt. I actually saw the Moto Magnet I being used, but here is a link to the new model with remote.

Moto Magnet

It runs constently, and is slow enough not to spook critters. Just find yourself a cheap stuffed puppy dog to put on top.

That Moto Magnet is junk, I've got 2, both of them torn up after a few hours running. Problems with the belt and moving parts. kyray

Thermolok,
Look under my post rabbit decoy. If you like it send me a PM I may be able to help you on how I made it.

Thermolok,

You might want to try a product called Predator Supreme Decoy. It's a round ball, mounted to a spring, mounted to a stick and is powered by 2 AA batteries. A rabbit looking decoy fits over the ball and is activated by turning an "on" switch. I have used one and it works well. The only drawback is being able to push the stick in frozen ground. I've gotten around this problem by using corn stalks for support or a small diameter metal stake. It costs $40 and is available thru Cabela's.
