Racoon sounds for calling coyotes

Has anybody here ever used Racoon sounds for calling in Coyotes? A good friend of mine has been calling coyotes for a long time and I went hunting with him last weekend and he did some racoon calls during the sets but nothing came in and I asked him why was he using the coon calls and he told me that when he goes out coon hunting using coon sound he always calls in coyotes.

Which this got me thinking about one of my sets I did last year. I went out last year in January and set up my Scorpion caller at about 3pm let everything settle for about 10 minutes and I noticed a racoon about 150 yards away so I started messing with it using racoon sounds which brought the coon right to my caller and he checked it out and then went into the brush. About 2 minutes later I started calling with rabbit distress and within about 2 minutes I had coyotes coming in. It was one right after the other totaling 6 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif. we ended up getting one of the six. which now I am going to try some more Racoon sounds the next time I go out and see if I have any luck with it again.

If you have used any sounds like that and had luck let me know.

Thanks

I have had one come in hard, alternating between coonfight and cottontail distress. I have tried a few times with only one coyote coming in. I figured you might get a coon or coyote coming in to steal a rabbit from a coon.
