Range finder advice please...

I am in the process of building my own shooting range. I have an old Bushnell Yardage Pro Sport Range finder that I used very little.

I got it out the other day and it wouldn't work, so I replaced the battery and still nothing.

Would it be worth my while to send it in for repairs or just replace it with something better.

If I replace it, what would be a good choice?

I like the price on this one, and I have some Cabela's Points accumulated. I wish that there were more reviews on this particular model.

I don't think the link worked... I'm looking at the
Leupold® RX600i

If I would have won the lottery I would buy the G7 but since I didn't I'm still saving for the Leica. I have the old (BIG) Bushnell for the range.

I bought the new Leica 1600B and am extremely happy with it. My friend has a Leupold range finder that will range out to 1000yds. It has given him a few problems and he has sent it in for repairs. He suggested that I not buy one and go with a different brand. I couldn't recommend this range finder enough. So far I have been able to range objects out past 1900yds with it and with perfect repeatability. The ballistic calculator works perfect and ranges out to 870+yds.

If you can afford it you wouldn't be disappointed.

You could send it to them for a quote on repairs. If the cost is too high, just tell them to trash it.

Here's a pretty good review on rangefinders.

I have the Nikon Riflehunter 1000 and have been pretty happy with it. It's way more compact than my old Bushnell Yardage Pro.

I ranged out to 1999yds with my unit. It would do 1200+ on trees...
