Rangefinders, Leica or Bushnell 1600?

100% agree!

Plus, a couple of years ago I had my Bushnell range finder fall from my couch to my carpeted floor and that little bump ruined it. Sent it back to Bushnell and they offered to sell me another one for more money than I could go down to the store and buy a new one for!

I guess you can say that I am through with Bushnell range finders forever.

i have a Leica 1200 that has served me well for several years. I do not forsee getting rid of it anytime soon. With my daughter beginning to shoot p-dogs with me, I wanted to purchase another rangefinder (so that I would get my rangefinder back). I picked up the Bushnell 1600 for about $350.00 (Gunbroker auction). So far, it ranges trees (P-Pine, Fir) to about 1700 yards from a tripod. It has no trouble ranging the hillside at 1400 yards. I understand the complains about Bushnell's service policy. But for the money, this particular unit seems to perform.
