RCBS 1500 Chargemaster Scale Pan

I took the plunge and ordered the chargemaster combo. I been wrestling with it for a while and finally gave in and ordered. My question is the heard the plastic pan that comes with the scale is cheap and should be replaced. Will the regular 505 pan work on the 1500 chargemaster?

Mike-- I have had a ChargeMaster 1500 for several years and the powder pan on mine is a nice heavy metal pan. The pictures of the ChargeMaster 1500s in catalogs and online show what looks like a metal pan???? If it does come with a plastic powder pan, I have to believe you could use the pan off your 5-0-5, you just have to press the Zero button after you set the pan on the scale and before you begin to use the scale.

i just received my chargemaster Friday and it has a metal pan. the 505 pan will work as stated above.

mine came with a metal pan, and it is identical to the one on my rangemaster 750.

Mine came with the metal one also, But it is about 5 years old also, GREAT MACHINE...... any pan will work just zero after calibrating it,,,

If you try to use the plastic Lyman pan with the funnel on it, the scale will not calibrate. Too light. I glued a nickel to the bottom of it and now it works.
