RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme/Rebel Press

I'm thinking about picking up a new press. I've had my eye on the RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme for a while, and I check on the price from time to time. Right now Midaway USA has it for 42% off their price ($209.99) making it $121.24. They also have the RCBS Rebel for 40% off their price ($234.99) making it $139.32. I think I'm going to opt for the Rebel (appears to be heavier duty/wider based) since only a little bit more.

My question is, are these prices an indication that they are being discontinued? Is the Rebel a good press and worth the upgrade? There are a few bad reviews talking about some "slop" in the Rebel. Should I just get the Rock Chucker Supreme? With todays inflation and supply/demand issues, I'm just a bit skeptical as to why these presses are suddenly priced way below MSRP/MAP.

Thanks for any input.

I have the rock chucker & believe its a very fine press. As for the prices, well, with the current component shortages (??) I'm sure these presses are not flying of the shelves.

Haven't used a Rebel, but the spent primer dump is better than the Rock chucker. There is a grease zirk for the ram, probably need to use it. With energy/food prices and reloading components stock low some companies will be looking to reduce inventory. Also 2030 is near, firearms need to be out of private hands by then according to WEF and democrats.

I read this in the description and was appealing to me. My current press drops the spent primers randomly and I end up having to pick up a lot of them off the floor by hand.

Well, I bought my RC in 1973 and am still using it today as my one and only press. .32 ACP, .32 S&W, .38 S&W, .38 Spl, .357 Mag, 9mm, .40 S&W, .41 Mag, .44 Spl, .44 Mag, .45 ACP, .45 Colt, .460 S&W, .17 Hornet, .17 Rem, .204 Ruger, .221 Fireball, .222 Rem, .223 Rem and AI, .22.250, .220 Swift, .243 Win and AI, .270 Win, .264 Mag, 7 Mag, 7/TCU, 7/08, .308, .30/06, .300 Wea, .338 Win, .458 Win. And that's all that my 70 year old brain can remember! But it works as good today as it did when 1 million rounds ago when I loaded my first round out of it. I am pretty sure that I will never be looking for a replacement!
