Coyotebuster,
I just put one on my Rem. 870 Supermag, the waterfowl version and H.S. recommended I get the Long Range (Med to Long Range but it says Long Range on the choke) for use with BBB, T and F size shot in steel or tungsten iron. Their technician was quick and complete on responding to me about the chokes. I haven't had the chance to pattern it yet but plan on it over X-mas using BBB Tungsten, T and F Steel. See if it works out, I know already that it puts a hurt on coyotes with fast kills out to 45 yrds. I have rolled a coyote with it at 50 yrds, put fur on the offside bush and blood but the booger got up after peeing everywhere and ran off with lots of .22 cal bullets following him. I will post it here if you are interested.
The turkey version from what I have read is NOT for steel, just in case you were interested in that version.
I shoot mostly steel on coyotes but most of my shots are close in, even in the wide open lands that I hunt. Penetration is completely through for most of the pay load, kind of messy at times but nothing like the 220 Swift holes I get at those same ranges, oh gadd the smell.
