Red Dot for 22RF Handgun

I’ve used a Sig ROMEO1, Vortex Razor and Leupold DeltaPoint Pro. Hands down the Leupold is the best of the bunch. I had nothing but problems with the Sig and the Vortex rides on my Buck Mark. It’s not bad either, but optically speaking, the Leupold just wins in my book.

I have a Burris Fastfire III on my 22/45 and I like it. Small, light weight and tough. I took it off my 45-70 lever gun. If it can withstand that a 22 pistol should be a cake walk. I've had the same battery in mine for 3+ years.

I have a Burris Fastfire III on my kel-tec PMR30. Love it, light enough to cycle the .22 magnum slide, easy to operate, doesn't cost a lot, and runs great in the cold of Alaska! Very well built, easy to get set on target, and easy to see at my age.

You need a light weight red dot so that it will cycle the little rim fires. This one works very well.

Nothing wrong with the Burris fastfire. But size and weight are not an issue with the Ruger 22/45. Due to its solid receiver and internal Bolt, you can mount as heavy an optic on there as you want.

P.S. For about 399.00 on sale, the Leupold DeltaPoint Pro 2.5 Moa dot Is as Good As It Gets. I have had them on my everyday carry Glock 19 and AR pistol for about 4 years. They are seriously good stuff! You know the old saying buy once cry once.

When I decided to try a red dot sight on my MK III 22/45 I had no idea if I would like one. I bought an ADE off Amazon which is basically a clone of the Burris at a fourth of the cost. If it broke in 30 days or I didn't like it I could just return it. Well, I liked that type red dot and it's still going.

The MK III's big brother, a MK IV Target got the Burris Fastfire III. Except for the adjustment screws I really can't tell much difference between the two except the ADE came with a better cover.
