What MOA is the dot size? If 4MOA I'd think you'd want to try a 4" target at 100 yards. Maybe a bigger one as long as the center of it matches dot size. I've never used a dot sight but I'm curious about the process myself. Post results, good and bad.
The MOA is 3. Also it is a 1x-35mm
Gary sent me a page and it is just what I was looking for. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif I found great circles to shoot at.
4) Yellow 3" Circles with heavy black outlines.
(4) White 3" Circles with heavy black outlines.
Perfect to get the site tuned in. Then I found
8" yellow circle target. Great for fast target acquisition and rapid fire.
8" black circle target. Great for fast target acquisition and rapid fire.

This is my first red dot, as well as my first AR. I'll be glad to post all that happens.
I have my load ready for the 6.8. A Speer 90 grn TNT.
Reloader 7 28.0 - 28.6 grns
Rem 9 1/2 primers
Rem brass
OAL 2.280
Talk on the 6.8 forum is in a 16" barrel I should get 2800 fps. That is like WOW. Will see as I have a ProChrono Digital and will post the speed. The B.C. of the TNT is .303. This should shoot flat and hit hard. Speer 90 grn Ballistic gelatin test was great too! It all stayed in a 12" path. Just right for coyotes.
Thanks for all your post. I have all the sites in my favorites. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif
