Im with Three 44s and Yellowhammer on the Dykem.  It's not had to take the lense out and give it 2-3 coats.  I have 3 lights I keep around(1 is getting pretty bad).  I'd think it would be a lot easier than putting plastic wrap on and you dont have to worry about it tearing or coming off.  A can will run you about $10 but will last for however many lights you'd ever feel like doing.  Thats just one guys opinion.
