Tell ya what I have found if you use green make sure you don't "burn" them shine straight at their face eyes. Only use the halo not the direct light look for eyes to shine back. Once you see eyes give them time to come into range shining with halo every few minutes to track them. Once you can take a shot slowly lower light into them. This is how I have been told and have done without a problem even using green. Now one of my hunting buddies got the same light as me. His first time out with us using his green he burned a Yote and spooked it 3 times. After the third time he got impatient and shot at it in the run. Needless to say anytime I have been out now they are skittish to green. I just switched mine to red now and man it limited my visibility to about 100 yards. I love the green but for now I have to try red. I agree with get both its just an led you can switch in the field. Going out tonight so we'll see if they run from the red light!!!
