Redding dies with DIllon 550C

Folks,
Thanks to all the good information I got from the Campfire I picked up my 550 2 weeks ago .
I had purchased last July Redding dies for 40sw and 45acp . These were the Dual Ring dies with the micrometer seating . Now I just read that you should use dies with a flared opening in a progressive press . And a taper crimp die .These sets were $ 120 . They do allow for a taper crimp But am I now going to have to buy new die sets ?
Thank you in advance for your time and help.

It might allow for faster snag free loading but I don't use flared dies and I get along fine. I'd use them.

I use Reddings on my 650 and 550. The flared/beveled dies are more needed in loading pistol cases. A bottle necked rifle round isn't going to catch going in even if slightly off center in the shell holder.

I use mostly Redding for rifle & Dillon for pistol, but they don't make dies for all calibers.

I also have Hornady & Lyman. Never had a problem with any of them.
