Just wondering what kind of funnel you guys use for loading the .204. The one I have will only go down to .22 cal. Any tricks, Homemade stuff so I dont have to wait and order it ?
I read on gunblas that he cut a .17 case, and flared it to fit in the funnel, But I dont own a 17. Any other tips ?
Thanks Guys.... Oh and a tip I just learned tonite... I just started using my new Tumbler to try it out.. I put in about 100 .204's, I added the media, "by the way my reloading spot is in the house, the room with the Computors in it" Anyway, I turned that thing on, and within 10 Minutes I got the whole room to myself ! Girlfriend said something about loud and annoying... and suddenly had a headache, and wanted to lay down.. Hmmm,, /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

Gonna use that one again when I want the room to myself for a Marathon reloading day ! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif LOL

I had to buy a new funnel for the 204. A problem still exists because you need one hand to run the powder measure, one to hold the tray and one to hold the funnel. Hopefully, RCBS will soon make a 20 cal insert for the powder measure. Until then, I will have to use the new dillon 550. That fixed the funnel problem but not a cheap way to go.

Where can you buy one? I have gone to sportsmans, bass pro and had my brother check at Cabelas and nobody carries them.
 
i got a Satern metal funnel from Sinclairs....

Satern makes them caliber specific.......

After i got the 204 I got one for 224 becuz they are so nice

I will check again tomorrow and we will see what happens. But when I went in and asked them last week one of the fellas in the hunting department told me they di not carry a funnel that would work for the .204. As far as he knew the only ones they carry are .22-50 cal.
 
Buy a Satern from Sinclair Intl. You'll be glad you did! They are aluminum, no static, and they have a brass neck turned to exactly fit the .20 caliber case necks. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

I got an RCBS funnel kit at Cabela's, it is made with different inserts for the bottom of the drop tube like they all should be and works well.
 
I got a RCBS 17 cal funnel and drilled the hole so it just fits over my 204 cases. Works great! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I used a 15/64 drill bit.

The Saturn funnel from Sinclar's is the best funnel you can find. A little pricy but worth it. Sits firmly on the case and is static free.

I cut off the head of a 22-250 case and glued it in the mouth of a Lee powder funnel, fits the 204 case perfectly and cost a small amount of Krazy jell.

I tried this with a .223 case and flared it just a little and my flare job must have been bad it lets a little powder fall through between the necks.

RCBS does make one for their powder dispenser. Call or e-mail RCBS and they will send one out to you. The only problem that I have with it is when I was trying to find the right load, Varget does not flow through it well because of its size. I currently use Win. 748 and it works great.
 
what if you took a 17 hmr and cut the base off. it might just fit into the .22 funnel. if you heated the case up, it would melt into the funnel.
