yes i know that there is cheap ammo to shoot like tula,wolf,etc..
but i want to try reloading for the x39 just recently purchased a howa mini action, and it actually shoots tula 124gr sp decent think it was just over an inch, inch and half at 100 yds, but not a big fan of shooting a bimetal bullet down the tube, so my question is the howa has a .311 bore can i reload 308 bullets in it, i know that some x39 guns have chambers in 308 311 and some 310 just wanna make sure i dont ruin my gun or get hurt loading the 308 bullets

Your Howa has a .311 bore. You can try .308 bullets but I've been told they don't work that well. That was the reason I sold my Howa. Bullet selection in .311 is rather slim.

Midsouth has a great selection of .310 bullets for your Howa, they are intended for the 7.62x39, if you just want a batch of small game and plinking bullets they have Berry's plated .311 diameter $30/250, good up to 1300 fps

I'm sure most of the other supply houses have a similar selection

Don't be afraid to try the 308 bullets, I have an old german rifle that has a .260 barrel(slugged) marked as a 6.5mm that shoots .257 diameter bullets quite well. I do size 264's down to .260 as I don't want to do any damage to the barrel do to blow-by as it is irreplaceable.

My neighbor has a nice little ruger 7.62x39, Walnut stock, blued. He loads 303 british 150g, the rifle kills deer to 200 yards on the spot...shocking to me.

hornady makes a .310 123gr sst... great bullet, and should do a job on 'yotes.

get a box and give them a whirl.

Yeah, but that's lead vs non- lead. We are required next year to go to a non lead bullet for all rifle hunting. In that catagory Lehigh offers a pretty inexpensive alternative to some of the major brands.

I tested (.308)110 gr V Max in my 7.62X39. Not a total failure. It would shoot 4 under an inch at 100 yards and throw one out. It would be perfectly useable for Yotes. I just didn't like the flyer. Seem to happen at least one out of 10. I used the stated loads for 123 gr from Hornady and Serria.

i loaded some sierra 125 pro hunter with h335, anyone else use h335 when i loaded them it looks like it will be a compressed load for all loads
