i get ya.. took me quite a bit to justify the jump - but its paid dividend for me because of the volume of online shopping i do.  i still cant justify the sams/costo membership.  the primary difference as i see it - with those paid membership warehouse clubs you have to buy in such bulk to offset the membership that its just not practical for me.  i mean dont get me wrong, the price on that 5 gallon bucket of pickle chips is awesome, and they're great pickles ... i just dont have a use for 5 gallons of pickle chips - or a gallon of mustard lol

at least with amazon the order quantities are practical

plus, i'll happily order stuff for my family too.  if they want something i just have them go buy a gift card at the gas station for whatever their item costs, quick phone call, i load the card to my account and a few clicks later their stuff is on the way.  i have their addresses saved in my account. amazon doesnt seem to care where they're shipping stuff to, or how many shipping addresses you have saved :p

between personal shopping, the family and work shopping i'm purchasing a couple grand worth of merchandise a year thru my account.  so i'm absolutely killing them on the 2 day shipping thing, beyond the regular savings i get from shopping with them on everyday items

like today, i ordered some motor oil for my quad.  locally its like $7.85/qt.  amazon was 4.27/qt with free prime 2day shipping.  thats 45% lower than the best price i can get it off the shelf here locally.   cant beat that with a stick!

and now back to your regularly scheduled topic derailment
