Reloading press question

Okay I am going to start reloading, can't find 260 ammo I like on the shelves. Need opinions on the Lee classic single stage press. Its the "0" frame design in cast metal. I believe it's the older model of their presses. How do they stack up against an RCBS Rock chucker and would a lightly used Lee classic be worth 60 bucks. Would reload 260. 223,204 and 17 hornet.

Not trying to start a war just need experienced opinions.

I would say it depends on if you want good solid equipment or mediocre equipment and what you are willing to use.

There are some that use Lee equipment and say it is great.

I have seen guys go from Lee equipment to RCBS or it's equivalent or better set ups and never go back to Lee.

I have yet to hear of anyone that owns / uses RCBS or equivalent or better equipment digress to using Lee equipment.

You and I were typing and posting at the same time.

I use both RCBS and LEE. Don't really have a preference in which press I use. Now, as for the components (scale, powder trickler, ect) I have RCBS hand primer, Redding powder dispenser an I believe, a Redding scale, although I may be wrong on that brand of scale and am just too lazy to go look.

i have a lee press like you describe, bought it when i was 16. it works well enough and i loaded many thousands of rounds of ammo on it from pistol to 338 win mag. but i also have an rcbs rockchucker that i picked up about 20 years ago. when i am depriming/ sizing especially with larger brass, i use the rcbs. i think it has more leverage to cam over. when i am full length sizing range brass for my 300 wsm i need the extra leverage.
