rem 504T 22lr

They're one of the better ones. I've never seen a bad review. I've shot one, it was easily accurate. They are a great rifle.

I've got the sporter with Remmy barrel.
Mine shoots great with CCI Mini's. Probably do better with some match ammo, but mine's a hunting rig, so I haven't bothered to try.
A friend has two of the T's (17HMR & 22LR) with Shilen barrels. They're shooters.

Definatly one of the best factory triggers made IMO.

I forgot you had a 504 RePete. Nice looking rifle. Both of mine are sporter models like yours and are good shooters too. Those triggers are the smoothest on the market in the rimfire world.
The "T" models are a lot harder to find.

Great,, I just picked one up yesterday. The guy at the gun shop has had it for quite awhile but was put away actusally all of his inventory was put away for awhile. Went out of buisness for a bit but is back in full swing and has a great looking shop and inventory. Antway its a sporte and T model and new in box. Cant wait to try it out.And yes the trigger is unbelievable.
Thanks
Daryl P.

I had two, sold one. Both had nice triggers, both couldn't match the accuracy of my CZs or my 541 rifles.

Real shame too because I think they are a very nice looking, shooter friendly gun.

Also, watch the bolt handle. I believe it is held on by a torx screw underneath and sometimes it can come loose.

Mine were both sporter FWIW.

Remington had some barrel problems with the first ones, they recalled some of the first ones, and fixed them. Your rifle should shoot as well as any CZ. Remington now makes the model 547 that replaced it.

I just got home from work and scoped the rifle and cleaned the bore. Took alot of patches. I shot ten rounds at objects in the woods just to kinda get the scope close. The trigger is great I just hope it shoots under 1/2 at 50 yards. Actually Im hoping for a ragged hole if I do my part.
Someone commented that you should use subsonics if shooting over 50 yards. I thought subs were slower and quieter than regular 22 lr. Am I missing something?
Thanks
Daryl P.

I had two of the sporter weight ones and both would shoot 6" best at 50yds. I was planning on rebarreling them with a Lilja, but ended selling them. The triggers were awesome in them.

The sporter weight ones were known to have accuracy problems. The heavy barreled ones were all shooters from what i've read.

You've obviously never cleaned a brand new CZ.

Why would a CZ be any dirtier than a Remmy, neither should have took more than a wet wipe. ed

All the rimfires I've bought new needed a good scrubbing.

The "T" models are not in the same class as the sporter models. While some of the sporters had problems, the "T" models with the Shilen barrels did not.
A bit of locktite on the set screw for the bolt handle is a good idea to do.

That is true. Subsonics and/or standard velocity ammo is much more accurate than rimfire ammo that exceeds the speed of sound. It doesn't take very long for rimfire ammo that exceeds the speed of sound to drop below the speed of sound. When bullets drop below the speed of sound barrier they will vibrate/wobble which in turn mess's up their accuracy. Hence the reason all world rimfire matches are shot with "target/standard/subsonic" ammo.

These targets were shot with my 504 sporters
