Rem 870's (customized)

Gonna pick up an 870 this week for coyote calling and was wondering what you guys have done to yours to make them "yours".

I see that there a ton of parts for these things so maybe post some pics of your rigs?

I see alot of them that have all kinds of bells and whistles but I dont know what accesories are a hindrance or a help.

Im a strong beleiver in the K.I.S.S. method so, do I keep the standard bead or add an Eotech, stocks, etc etc.

Any help is appreciated.
 
All three of these are the same gun, just in different stages of me owning it.

I have another 870sm I am converting to a predator gun with extended mag tube.... going to put a custom camo job on it... I have a 23" VR & 26" VR barrel to interchange for it.... I haven't gotten to far on it other than mounting the mag ext. tube....
 
Thanks for the link Luke. Im sure the 870 is gonna work well for what I want. IDK how much Ill use it but i think its defintley gonn have its place.
 
Here is one from this past springs turkey season. Saw it sniffing around about 100 yards away where I had just watched a hen feed around. I just so happened to have a new call from TnYoteHntr in my vest (for just in case). I got it out and made a distress and that coyote came to me at a dead run. Made it's way through some downed treetops to 25 yards... let the 11-87 mag loose with a load of 3" Hevi #7's... Hit her in the face/chest area and she went maybe 6-8 yards and was done.

Here is an old pic of mine. 21" barrel, magazine extension, hevi shot dead coyote choke tube....I also have a scabbard for it that I carry it on my back with.

Rammer- I like your 870. I have 2 870 Police models (7 shot) and I want to change to a barrel like yours with screw in chokes. I don't really want a 24" or 26" barrel. Where did you get a 21"?
 
Since your goal is to keep it simple,,, One of the easiest and least expensive upgrades is a slip on fiber optic front sight...Similar to This one...They can usually be had in a variety of colors,,, My Winnie 1300 has one of the Lime Green ones and it is really fast to pick up on a moving target...unless you are planning on full fledged optics...
 
Thanks guys. Old turtle I think I'm just gonna do the Green fiber optic sight. I don't want optics the more I think about it.

Blopez- I think we have had this convo before but I have those same Ariats

That is exactly how I bought the gun (minus the extension). I believe it was called the Turkey 870. I would think you would be able to get a 21" barrel from Remington, I also think I have seen the 21" barrels on Midways site.
