The local gun store has had this thing on the shelf for over a year, its very clean with the fluted barrel and brush camo but has a junky look'n scope on it, but for $650 it dont seem like a bad deal.

My question is what kinda reputation do these guns have ? they've sold all kind .22-250s but this one just sits ther.

I did notice the barrel and fore arm are touches all the way down, I figured it would have a free floated barrel, but does any one that has hands on eqperience with these gun give some insight, since its not free floated does it hamper the accuracy ?

Just wunder'n.

Got a model seven predator in a .204, you're right with the non free floating barrel but I shot mine today. shot about a .75in group, they're nice rifles. Nice in the field too.

It dont weigh anything and it look great, a guy coulg put a good scope on it and I figured it would be a tack driver but I've never been around one to shoot.

The store has sold sevral encores and ventures and even handi rifles in .22-250, every time I go in ther I give it a good look'n over...temptation.

Ive been told the model 7 will shoot better with the stock touching. I do know a friend floated his and the accuracy got alot worse. If you get it and she shoots ok, I would not mess with the floating.
