I have a factory sealed case of this ammo. (10 boxes - 200 rounds)

Wondering if someone could help me with an honest asking price if I were to sell it?

I've checked and I see this out-of-stock everywhere.

Opinions and help is much appreciated.

Thanks!

If you check those places that normally sell it, even if they are out of stock, they may list their normal retail price...It's really good ammo for hunting most game...You just need to consider what the HazMat cost for shipping it, if you have a shipping permit that is required by some shippers..In-State or face-to-face will be much less expensive and more likely to find a buyer...

Posting a "For Sale" notice at a local gun club or shooting range might get you your best price..

Hey, thanks guys.

I could not find the ammo in stock anywhere. Thanks for the link, Chupa.

I didn't even consider HazMat costs, Old Turtle. Never even crossed my mind.

That's why I love posting here. My question has been answered. Much appreciated!

I've never had to pay HazMat for loaded ammo--only powder and primerss. I could be missing something though.

I bought a couple of boxes of the Remington PSP 55 grain bullets (R223R1) 20 shells per box for about $24.95 each. I got them at a local gun shot called Buck and Jacks or the Gander Mountain Store. Buck and Jakes has two different stores. One in Boonville, IN and the other on the West side of Evansville, IN. I bought two boxed of the PSP at the Boonville Store a few months back.

I won't buy anymore of those type of shells (R223R1) because the nose of the bullets deforms as it's made from soft lead. They don't shoot as straight as the Remington AccuTip V shells that have the plastic polymer tips in them. I shot two boxes of the R223R1's at the rifle range at Sugar Ridge up by Winslow, IN and compared them using the same AR15 to the other shells mentioned below. I had fliers using the PSP bullets but all the other's AccuTip V and Max V were all inside the bulls eye at 100 yards. Using a big Sight N C target. They were much farther away from the bulls eye on the same target type at 200 yards.

I think the lack of precision and the decreased accuracy of some of those bullets is caused when the nose of the bullet is deformed as it's loaded into the chamber. You can actually see the shape of the nose is not the same on each shell. Some have flat spots where it's suppose to be pointed or rounded at the tip. I got them as they were the only Remington Boxes that Buck and Jacks had in stock. And Gander Mountain didn't have the AccuTip V's in 223 cal until last week. I went into that story more then two or there times a week for the last few months just looking for the Remington AccuTip V boxes as I really like the way they shoot in my Ambush Firearms 5.56 Modern Sporting Rifle. But now I like the Hornady just as well as I found out that they are basically alike.

I like the Hornady Max V shells that also have the polymer tips on them.

I read some where that Hornady made the Remington AccuTip V shells.

They both are 55 grain and have the polymer type tips on them. The Hornady V-Max have the red plastic tip and the Remington AccuTip V shells have a bronze/gray colored plastic tip in them.

I paid about $35 per box of 20 for the Remington AccuTip V boxes and the Hornady V-Max for 20 shells in a box cost about 24 bucks each.

Hope this helps you figure out a good price for them. They are ok for plinking around IMHO. I would not use them for a contest where money was on the line. But I would use them for hunting if the game was within 100 yards. They would kill a coyote at

First off, I wouldn't sell ANY ammo right now-unless you need the funds. It's just too hard to find. If I were to sell that particular ammo, I would ask no less than $20 a box. Hold on to it-if you can. It will be easy to sell or trade for something you need if you must part with it.
You don't pay hazmat fees on loaded ammo, only reloading components such as powder and primers.

I bought 5 boxes of this same ammo at the Indy1500 gunshow this weekend. I've had very good results with it. Shoots under an inch at 100yds with a couple guns, even with deformed tips.
I paid $16 per box and was very happy because I can't find it anywhere else. At the gunshow
there was alot of ammo in different cal., just had to look around for the best prices.
Only thing is couldn't find much rimfire without high prices. Like was said before, better just keep
it.

I too found most any ammo except 22lr almost back to pre-panic prices at the 1500 this weekend. .223 ammo under $300 per K in brass. The 22lr is nuts. Both Gander Mt and Dick's guys said they line up before opening on delivery days. And no I don't like ether store but I want some 22lr for summer. It was chaos with isles filled with baby strollers at the 1500 etc. But prices are stabilizing.

I've paid around $18.00-$25.00 per box of 20 bullets.....as hard as Ammo is to come by You could ask just about what You want or trade for something different if a Your wanting a different Caliber?
