Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to all,

I have a Remington model 600 in .243 that I would like to replace the original birch stock with a laminated wood stock if possible. I would also like to replace the plastic trigger guard/floorplate with a steel or aluminum one. Ideally, I would like a bdl floorplate for ease of unloading.

My dad purchased this gun from a pawn shop many years ago i.e. longer than 25. It is no longer factory. The previous owner had a magnum contour douglas barrel installed, oversized recoil lug, and a timney trigger. It is a sweet shooter. About 20 years ago I had the barrel cut to 20" with a recessed target crown.

When I get a new stock I plan to steel and pillar bed it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have an inexpensive Ramline on mine it is quite stiff and works very good. I started with a steel trigger guard but have since swaped in an Aluminum one. Pac nor barrel in 6x45.
