Hey Guys, I was looking at a Remington Pump. This holds AR Mags, and living here in the Republik of SchwartzenKennedy,It may not raise flags like an AR can. Im just wondering if anyone has any experience with the accuracy of this Model ? Its used by Law Enforcement, but It may shoot like a Mini 14. Any help, will be appreciated.. Thanks !

I don't see a reason it wouldn't shoot as well as the 7600 series of rifle, and, they are excellent!

Barrel lengths ? Any thoughts ? The have 3 I think. The 22 inch Camo Model looks good, they all have free floated Barrels, so I'd think they should shoot. I get tired of totin the 12 FV everywhere... lol.. But it hits where I point it!!!

ugly thing it is,IMHO........not quite AR 'black rifle', not quite walnut stocked rem 760.........
unless you HAVE to have a rifle that can be fed with AR mags AND do not care for the 'sinister evil black rifle', why bother?
Id get the AR or the 760/7600 instead.

Remington's Words:

"Unique carbine-style rifle is the perfect alternative sporting arm choice to the AR-15"

for image sensitive police departments, its a "better" alternative to an AR rifle ( I dont agree with that, just that those PC police dept's out there feel that way)........here in my town certain folks got a bit touchy when the cops went to 9mm auto pistols in the late 80's...same mindset at play here.

just my 2 cents.....

i can understand that sentimate...i prefer pump actions over bolts as I shoot lefty and think a pump action is quicker than any bolt...

One reason Police departments like the pump rifle is it cuts way back on training time, Rookies already have to train and show profficency with uaually an 870 Rem shot gun. so for departments that are starting to arm street officers with a carbine that is a great choice.

Agreed dogtired!!!!!!!11 How can you charge a couple hundred $$'s more for the same gun in a different caliber?!?!?!?!? hell, the 06's around here dropped big time in the last few years and I've seen decent ones in the $300 range lately - $600 is just too much, but I'm PA Dutch and cheap too!! LOL!!!

I conned my wife into letting me get one for Christmas.
Yep, they are pricey. However, I fall in with Ohio Hunter and Rem 870: I prefer a pump, I am a lefty, and I prefer to have more than 5 shots in the clip (not because I am a bad shot. I have shot more than 5 shots in one night, but never 10. With a 10 shot clip, I can have everything I need in the clip and not risk losing the "extra" shells I would have been carrying if I were using a 5 shot clip.)
So before dumping that kind of money, I checked all over the place looking for reports on this rifle. The only negative point I could find is exactly what dogtired said: price. Other than that, the model gets great reviews.
