Remington 870 28 gauge value?

A guy I work with won a Remington 870 28 gauge Wingmaster at a DU banquet. He wants to sell it and asked me to make him an offer. I have done some looking and have found prices that range all over the place. What is a fair price for this rig? It has never been fired, and is still in the box. I don't really need it, but I don't own a 28 gauge, so it could be fun.

Is it the standard 870 or the engraved DU Model?

It is not the DU model. It is the standard Wingmaster, with gold trigger.

Dealer cost not retail on the 870 28 ga is around 500.00 so you can go from there.

I think I sold mine for around $400 used with an extra barrel.
