Looking for a little advice.Gander has a limited edition Remmy .20 Jr express with slight amounts of pink in the pump and stock.Asking $400 for it.Any chance of this gun going up in value ? My daughter is 5 yrs old right now and would like to throw it in the safe for her years to come.already have Ruger 10-22 40th anniversary waiting for her.She loves to go scouting turkeys with me and all the outdoors things we do.Is there a slug barrel available for this too?I have it on hold right now, next maybe layaway.Guess I'm looking for someone to say great idea or what am I thinking. Thanks

I bought a womens/youth gun back in 1993 and we still use it ALOT. I know they now make 3 lengths of stocks for the 870 20 ga. Not sure which length the gun your talking about is. You can indeed find slug barrles for them and they are in line with all other barrels.

I picked my 20 ga. youth up for my ex and she never used it so I kept it through divorce. I used it ALOT for rabbit hunting since im only 5'5 it fit me pretty well and with the little 20" barrel, it came up really fast. With the vent rib barrel on it, it shoots dead on at 50 yards with Remington sluggers. My current wife uses it now for deer hunting and we are switching to a fully rifles barrel for it.

I dont know if your gun would every appreciate in value but it will definately last her a lifetime and will be something for her to pass down.

Hey shooter44n45, you talked me into it/lol.Just wanted to hear someone say"go ahead and buy it for her"Went and put it on layaway today.Just think in about 7 years she'll get to shoot it.Seemed like a good idea now anyhow.
