Remington 878 tech help.

I have a Remington 878 shotgun, its a gas operated auto loader. The problem is when the gun cycles, the bolt wont close all the way, it catches at about 3/4 of the way close. Any ideas what could be the problem?
 
The recoil spring might be worn out. Try www.gun-parts.com , you might have to call them but they seem to have parts for older guns.

I wouldn't store this gun (or most semi-auto guns) with the bolt locked open. This is for the same reason you don't store the clip of your pistol/rifle full of ammo.
