All I know is that the Remington Accutip V Ammo 55 gr in 223 shoots well as does the Hornady Vmax in 55 grain in 223 cal.
I have shot them both side by side and they are both my favorite shells to shoot in my AR15 Ambush Firearms 5.56.
And I use a Nikon Scope too. But I also shoot some of the Remington Accutip V boat tails 55 gr in 223 cal in my friends High Standard AR which has a 16" barrel with a 1/9 twist and they grouped very well. And I used two rifle scopes on this AR15 to shoot tight groups. The first was a Gamo 4x32 scope and the other was a Nikon 4 x 16 x 42 M-223 with a BDC 600 reticle in it. I used both these scopes on the High Standard AR15 and the Nikon only on my new Ambush Firearms 5.56 AR15.
The only type of ammo that I didn't like in either gun was the Remington PSP ammo 55 grain 223. The tips are soft lead and deform easily making for some fliers IMHO.
The Remington UMC 55 gr in 223 shots good in my Ambush Firearms 5.56 AR15 too.
But I'm wanting more of the Remington Accutip V 55 gr in 223 right now and can't find it in the stores. I wish that they would make more of this stuff as I really like it.
I've been buying the Hornady 55 grain 223 with the polymer tips as I can't find anymore of the Rem stuff. I'm talking about the PRA223RC stuff. I also have some Rem PRA223HP that shoots pretty good though both my AR15 ambush at 1/7 twist 18" long barrel and the High Standard AR15 at 1/9 twist with 16 long barrel.
Note: the tips on the Remington Premier Accutip have a copper or gold colored plastic tip insert not green. The Zombi ammo that's actually the same thing as the Hornady is the puke green color. I had a guy at Gander Mountain show me that the ballistics info on the ammo box was the exact same for the Hornady 223 55 grain V max and the Zombi 55 grain 223 stuff.
