I tried the search, found nothing.

Question: does anyone own a Remington Genesis Muzzleloader?

There's a sale that's too good to pass up right now and I want to know if anyone has an experienced opinion of this muzzleloader?

A friend of mine just bought one, we took it to our range to sight it in with open sights. He is using black horn powder and lightfield 300gr sabots. the rifle loads super easy and didn't need cleaning between shots. the only problems we had was with the type of primers he had for the new powder neither of us had tried this powder before and it stated to use standard 209 primers not 209 magnum. the magnum primers caused some hang fires. Luckily i had some standard shot gun primers at camp, After switching primers it was easy to sight in at 50 yrds and still grouped well at 3 ins at 100 yrds. He bought it at cabala's on sale and Rem has a big rebate on their site so he got a $300+ mz for around $160. It is a well made gun and so far he's happy with it. Hope this helps. O.D.

my inlaws got one for my brotherinlaw and he really likes it, they would have got me one for christmas too if i didnt want a powder dispencer really bad..
