Remington Model 7 Value

Guys I have a safe queen Remmy Model 7, stainless, synthetic stock in 260 that I'm considering selling. Its in great shape, probably has 50 rounds through it and was wondering what its worth??

I have very few factory rifles and lots of customs and was thinking of selling this to fund a new custom build.

Not sure if this is helpful or not but there is the same rifle you have for sale over on long range hunting. He is asking $1100 shipped, but it has not sold yet.

There is no set price on used anything. You need to look at the gun auction/selling sights and get a feel for what IS selling. There are lots of guns with inflated.prices out the and they don't sell. You also have to decide whether losing some is worth getting it sold quickly. Putting a price on it and then waiting for the right guy to.come.along might not be worth the wait when you could have asked less and sold it tomorrow.

I went to a local show today. Seems the only firearms bringing high prices were the ones on tables. I sold a rifle for less than I wanted but still came out OK on the deal. Todays market is crazy right now. If you find the right person you may come out good.

Thanks guys for the reply, i don't go to gun shows and thought I'd just ask here to get a general idea without doing a lot of searching to see as I'm not for sure I want to part with it.

If that guys asking $1100 then mine should maybe go quick at $850 or so??

Everything is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If I was trying to sell it, I would would list it around $800 and expect to get $750. When I bought mine new, I gave around $650 for the synthetic .308 stainless version. A lot of people seem to misunderstand the Model Seven's purpose and whine about them not shooting tiny groups so that limits your market a little bit.

I think your $850 price would be reasonable (given the condition you stated it was in) and would probably sell. I think the other rifle is listed a bit high at $1100...then again, I've been watching some of these Remington rifles sell for stupid money.
