Remington R-15 in DFW?

Checked with Cabelas and they had 2 but sold them, can't seem to find them anywhere else...I checked with Bass Pro, and Cheaper Than Dirt, and neither have them nor anticipate having any. So anybody seen them around the Dallas Forth Worth area
 
For what its worth, there's one listed on gunbroker right now. Current bid is 1025.00 New in Box.
If you have Gander Mountain stores in your area check them. That's where I bought mine.
 
Checked with Gander and they are about 100 dollars more than Cabela's..not sure I want one that bad that I can't wait. The one on gunbroker is pretty cool with that serial number
 
MRider, I have been trying to send you a PM but it wont go thur.
In a nutshell, if you take out a Gander Mt credit card everything you buy on the first purchase is 10 percent off.
My gun price sticker was 1099.00 subtract 10 percent= 989.00
I couldnt find it any cheaper even on the web if you fiqure shipping and transfer fee. FWIW.

wow...very nice thanks for the info looks like I will be headed to Gander this weekend...can I get approval for the card right then and there at the store
 
I dont know your credit info but I got approved in about 2 minutes. They just ask to see another major credit card and your drivers liscense.
 
I think the ones that Gander are selling are Byron South's signature line. They have a few improvements over the regular R-15 and are therefore a little more money. I think they have 2 stage trigger and a better grip than the regular R-15. Byron has been on here talking about that a couple times. You might want to do a search. I priced a regular R-15 at a local dealer and he quoted me $969.
 
None of Byrons' sig. series are out yet and probably won't be until May-June. Gander is just way over priced and charging more like they do on every gun. My local dealer is $929 and I'm just waiting on an 18" barrel to show up.
 
I checked with Bass Pro in my area and they didnt have any and wasnt gonna stock any but they were more than happy to order one for me.
 
Bass Pro WILL NOT stock them. In talking about AR15's "They look to much like a gangsta gun".... That is what one of the guys at the gun counter told me that Johnny Morris had told him directly. Like noted above they will order one for you but will never carry in the store.
 
Midnight, do your homework and compare Gander's gun prices to other stores such as Cabela's and Sportsmans's Warehouse.

For example:

Bushmaster Predator AR-15; Gander = $1299.00 Cabela's = $1179 Sportsman's Warehouse = $1079

You'll find the cost difference ratio the same on most all their gun prices.

Don't take MSRP so lightly. The original msrp of the the r-15's wer 999.99. Since Remington offered the r-15's to Gander first they most likely made a deal and advised Remington to up the msrp so they could sell higher. I know folks who work for the firearms dept and the corporate goal for Gander is to raise the market prices. Pretty crapy idea with the economy.

 
BPS sells Glocks but a camo AR is a gangster gun??? lol, I've never seen a gangster with a $1000 AR, a $300 WASR 10 AK yes but never an AR.... don't make much sense, oh well, thats a HUGE market they are missing out on...
 
Well I picked her up on Saturday @ Gander Mtn. in Corsicana...no bashing on Gander, it had gotten to the point where i wanted it bad enough I was willing to pay the extra, plus I got 5% off anyway by signing up for the Gander credit card. Picked up the 22" model and topped it with a Bushnell Elite 3200 3x9.....had them put it together and bore sight it and took it to the farm, out of the box punched 2 bullseyes on the 1st 2 shots...I was impressed. Shot 10 shots total all w/n the 3" ring. I am a happy little boy...I will try to put some pics up later
