Remington?

Is Remington belly up again? I was seeing a few on the shelves after they supposedly started production again. I even bought a 6.5 Man bun.
I haven't seen anything from them for several months.

More gun models in their line(website). Also see the ammo line is expanding. 17 Rem with a 25 gr hollow point is available, not cheap but a step in the right direction.

Like @spotstalkshoot when I seen the post yesterday I had to look at their website.
I'm guessing their marketing department is not as effective as the previous marketing department. That could be the reason why some are not seeing them on shelves as much as the previous company had enjoyed. Just a thought.

I dont think they make Remington Ammo. Its a different company. I understand they have firearms on their website but I dont see any on the shelves.

Correct ammo and firearms separate companies. Wal-Mart and my local farm store have both Rem firearms(new company) and new ammo company stock. I don't buy much factory ammo, but did grab a box of 30/06 tipped cor-loc. Only box of factory 30/06 I have ever purchased. My last Rem rifles I purchased from a wally world during the Rem bankruptcy clearance sale. M700 30/06 sps, out the door $106.50. A M770 in 300wm for 65.50(new). Sold the 770 for 245.00.

I have a remington 700 ADL in 6.5 CM that I bought after they started back up. Its shoots pretty well. I bought it mainly for the action but haven't done anything with it yet. Ill get around to putting a new barrel on it eventually.
I heard rumors that all the Remingtons in the stores at that time were from parts that were already built and sitting on their shelves when they bought Remington.
I do know that they had sold off a bunch of stuff to places like CDNN so I'm not sure. It does shoot though for being a sporter in a Tupperware stock.

who ever owns the firearm part needs to go back to basics. make a rifle at an average affordable price, with the accuracy that the savage rifles have but with better stocks.

With correct primary extraction and proper firing pin to pin hole dimensions.....

About 18 months ago Grice Gun Shop had several 700’s in stock in a variety of calibers. I bought a stainless .223. Just now checked and they have very few. It’s just hard to imagine the way Remington has gone.
