removing muzzle brake

Will removing the MB make the rifle a tad quieter and effect accuracy any.

Is it really a MB,or a flash suppressor ?

I believe it's a MB,the end is closed in to slightly larger diameter than the bullet.

If it is a linear compensater it won't help. Post a picture and somebody will be able to help you.

That is a FLash Hider. A muzzle Break of my preference is the PRI QTSN or the SJC Titan

I removed the factory mb on my dpms 243 and put a troy claymore mb on it. Dont think its quieter but think it makes the gases go straight out so it doesnt blow your ear drums out like it did before.

That's a compensator. You need to just get the AR tool. If you replaced it with a linear brake, it would help with the bark. Just removing it likely will not make a significant differance.

You better make sure that comp in not pinned before you go reefing on it. If you bought it out of a shop in NY I'll bet you it's pinned.

I can't see where it's been pinned,but not saying it wasn't put on without threadlock. Got it from a guy in nj
