replacement stock for ruger M77 MK 2

i have a m77 mk II in 22-250 w/ the "boat paddle" synthetic stock.

i am toying with the idea of a new replacement synthetic stock. this is my go to calling rifle and would like to keep it as lightweight as possible, but keeping or improving on the accuracy. not a tack driving target/varmint rifle but will keep it around 1 moa which is plenty accurate for me in a lightweight calling rifle.

the 2 stocks i have looked at were the hogue w/ the pillar bedding and a B&C carbelite stock. i am thinking either a camo pattern or something in a tan w/ black webbing or hogue's tan guillie color.

any opinions would be appreciated

I llke the B&C and it has many more camo patterns to pick from. Most of the 77 MKII are tack drivers- surprised yours is not- how many rounds down the tube? Bedding and floating will help. Since you are in TX- keep me posted I can turn you onto my gun plumber if the rifle doesn't settle down. JHG

Txa, What is the cost of the replacement stocks? I have the same gun on a 243 and hate the stock. What caliber is yours. Mine is very accurate with 100 grain bullets.

I have the Hogue in ghillie tan on my Ruger .243 and have been very pleased. It fits well, and floated the barrel with no additional work. I did bed the recoil lug and tang on my gun. The rubber coating provides excellent grip, and does not scratch at all. It is definitely heavier than the factory stock, but not enough to be bothersome to me.

I have each of those stocks on rifles. I like both equally from a functional point of view, however, as mentioned above, the B&C has many patterns you can choose from.
I also had excellent service from B&C when the recoil pad on my B&C went bad. All they charged me was $19 to replace a 20+ year old pad. And, while the stock was back at their factory, they offered to paint the stock any pattern I wanted for $45. I selected a snow camo pattern and my "new" stock looks outstanding. I am one happy customer of B&C stocks.
