Replacement stocks??

I am looking for a replacement stock for a heavy barrel Savage short action (12FV). Does anyone have a Bell and Carlson, if so how do you like it? Are there any other stock manufactures that would make a drop in replacement stock for this gun? Thanks
 
I installed one on my 12bvss this winter. I like the fit and feel much better than the billy club stock that came with the gun. Althought it shot well. The BC stock fit the action well. The recoil lug recess is filmsy, suppose to flex with recoil. I don't like that idea. I skim bedded the action and added plenty of glass for the lug recess. The front action screw was way to long for the stock. Overall it's not a mcmillan. But for around $100 it's not bad.
 
I put a B&C Desert tan stock on my new Savage 10 FP. I bought it from Midway USA for around $95.00 and I am very happy with it. The factory Savage stock was just too thin and flimsy for me. The rifle was shooting very good groups before the change in stocks and is now shooting great groups as the rifle is much more comfortable to shoot now. I realize, too, it is not a high end stock but it is quite an improvement and worth the money.
